The players, management team and the committee of Strathspey Thistle Football Club would like to thank all the supporters who came to watch the Scottish Cup tie last Saturday against Buckie Thistle FC.
We were slightly apprehensive about how everything would go under the strict SFA and Highland League CoVid 19 guidelines, but the afternoon went by without an issue – apart from the many expletives murmured under people’s breaths – a result of their spectacles steaming up from wearing their face mask….
Unfortunately, the result went against us – Buckie proved to be a very good team – but, that was our first competitive game since March and with many new young signings making their competitive debut for the club the future, in my opinion, looks very promising.
The Club would like to wish Buckie Thistle FC all the best for the next round of the Scottish Cup.
We would also like to thank Harbro for supplying hand sanitiser, hi-vis vests and face masks for volunteer stewards and committee.
