Away match v Formartine United FC
North Lodge Park, Pitmedden (AB4 7PA) KO 3pm

This week, weather permitting (again), we’re on the road to Pitmedden and a Breedon Highland League match against our friends at Formartine United FC.

Formartine joined the Highland League in 2009 at the same time as Turriff United and ourselves, and have enjoyed the greater success between the three clubs, but we hope that the football gods will shine on us this weekend……. but with Formartine lying sixth in the league the task may be quite a difficult one!

This week Charlie and the squad visited Elgin City’s Gleaner Arena again this season, for a friendly against the League Two’s under-twenty team supplemented with a few first team fringe players.  The quickly organised game was only the second game we have played in almost two months.

JJ and Ewan

The exercise was successful despite losing and it also gave JJ Wardrope and Ewan Neil, both back from injury, a run out. Both should be in the squad for Saturday.

Charlie said in The Strathy that the first forty-five minutes were pretty even but as the game went on the difference in match fitness told.

£2100 is the jackpot this week in the Club’s Lottery and if you don’t have a ticket and want to play online – play here.
